Looking for good HD tv/computer monitor.

Currently I have a 20" flat panel tv and a 19" samsung SyncMaster monitor and I am looking to upgrade my tv for under $300 and use it as a good monitor too.

My current tv only supports 800x600 because it is not an HDTV. I am looking to do at least as good as if not better than my current monitor's resolution, which is 1280x1024.

Would it be possible to find a bigger tv for this price that supports at least the same resolution as my current monitor?

It looks good and the price is alright but I would like to try to stay away from refurbished items if at all possible. (I do not have very good luck with them and its a personal thing)
