LCD monitor VS LCD TV

I've always been wanting a larger than 18" LCD display for my computer. I've been looking at LCD monitors and LCD TV's. I've noticed that the TV's are cheaper than the monitors. That's wierd that a larger display would be cheaper. I liked the features on the Dell LCD monitors 20.1 and 24.. any advice?

it's because the dpi on a tv sucks (very blury picture)

unless you spend a ton..
