Well I did it, I went and brought my first LCD Monitor. It's all I could afford right now to start my new rig parts collection off (I also bought a Thermaltake Tsunami (Silver) and it's so **** sexy. My LCD is a 17" Benq FP71G+S.

At the moment, I don't know what to think of it. It looks good, the colours are so bright and clear and my eyes arent hurting like they normally do. Maybe it's just placebo. It's got DVI, so I assume that's good to have, its 8ms response, 300brightness 500:1 contrast. At the moment I'm using it on my old AMD 2.4 rig with a crappy GF 4 Ti card. Cant wait to use it on my new dual core system with 7900GTX in about a month when I should have all the other bits.

Anyway I am sure it will grow on me. It's nice having extra desk space, and I cant see any dead pixels (have a 7 day store warranty and a 3 year Benq warranty). Everything looks less blury on this LCD, much crisper than my CRT Samsung..

Thanks Vader. I am really happy with it so far, but was really nervous about changing over to the "dark side" (or is that light side?).
