Hi,

All of my previous keyboards had the circular connector at the end of the cable and my pc has the right port for it. I just bought a new keyboard and I didn't know it had a USB 2.0 connector at the end of its cable. Can I connect it to any USB 2.0 port or does it have to be inserted into the keyboard port?

it can connect threw any usb port.

That's what it's there for, it's almost rare to find a ps/2 anymore (at least they are becoming less and less available), some newer intel mobos don't even have inputs for ps/2 connections.

PS2 is old and is getting less common to see on newer equipment. Infact i think dell have gotten rid if it on all but there budget PC's.
