Well this is ym computer at the moment:
AMD Athlon(tm) Processor at 1.05 GHz
512mb of some sorta of ram... never really bothered to check...
Some sorta of a non-dual core motherboard... slot 754 or something like that i really don't know
a Maxtor 160 gb hard drive at 5200rpm
also a Western Digital 160 gb hard drive at 7200 rpm
a 52x, 32x, 52x cd writer with 16x dvd reader this one is LG
and i got a secon cd writer 48x, 48x, 16x this one is HP
I got a 7500 Redeon 64mb video card 1x, 2x, 4x AGP slot thingy
97'ac sound card
550 watt power system

here is my question, at this moment i have 500-600$ CANADIAN

I need;
motherboard
cpu
video card
some good ram would be usefull if not my perent can buy it for me...
i can use my old hard drives cd burners and monitor and mouse

bassically wat kind of hardware can i get for 500-600$ thats preatty good...

I don't need dual core caz that a bit expencive but i want the best of non dual core...

Please if any one out there has any free time can u make me a list...

Game better... Right now bf2 doesn't even load up...

Get a new hard drive, it will increase loading times of everything, and you will notice the difference between 5200 and 7200RPM.

Keep the harddrive, it doesn't matter if your harddrive can load BF2 fast if the rest of your system can't handle it.

Try getting your parents to get you 1 GB of PC3200/DDR400 RAM

Alright thx guy, i'll get all that stuff you said i should.

My perents got me 4 sticks of 2gig ram 8 gig in total... Is that better or will it slow my comp down?

The Mother Board only supports upto 4 gigs. I didn't even know they made 2gig sticks......

i didn't know they made 2 gig sticks. sorry mate but i don't know of any motherboard that supports more than 4gb of ram, perhaps only server boards. you should only really use 2gb max.
