2tb? thats alot...... you could try raid but im not into that
another way is to grab two 1tb 7200 drives, since speed isnt "that" necessary

You're looking at $400-800. Either 2x 1TB drives in raid-0 ($800) or 4x 500gb drives in raid-0 ($400).

ya i've been reading RAID 0 is a better setup than single drives. i read an article on toms showing benchmarks between 2 WD raptor 150gb in raid-0 and 2 WD Caviar 400gb 7200rpm in raid-0. not alot of difference there. plus the price per GB is better than with raptors. i think i'll go raid and get a couple TBs.

Seagate's 7200.11 drives are the fastest 7200RPM drives out so far I think
they have 32MB cache, and SATA 300 interface.
Apparently, they have a sustained transfer rate of over 100MB/s, which is almost comparable to a Raptor drive.

Plus, Seagate are always going to be extremely reliable. And they give you 5 year warranties.

the 7200.11 drives come in 1TB, 750GB and 500GB I think. Although they're quite new; I can only find the 1TB drives so far.

one terabyte drive
