Default Hows this for $300?

GIGABYTE GA-K8N51PVM9-RH Socket 939 NVIDIA GeForce 6150B Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813128007

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 1.8GHz 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939
Processor - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16819103537

Patriot Signature 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) System Memory - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820220079

...I know you will probably say save up, but at this point I'm in no hurry for AM2 or the C2Ds. For the moment I will use the integrated gfx, because I don't game much or rarely. I have everything else, so I just wanted to know what you guys think. Thanks...sorry I meant the topic title as Hows this for $340. Also if I plan on overclocking, how far can the 3000+ OC on stock? Temps are not a problem for me, my window is open all the time and it gets cold.

As I said at this point I'm not interested in getting a better proc, I can always get it later on in the future. Or I could go down to 1gb ram (2x512), and get something else.

The processor is defenitely crappy. My parents have the model below (2800), and it's a piece of garbage. Save for a better processor, and buy less RAM (1.5GB)

For the price, that build is pretty good. You could scale the RAM back to 1 Gig, and use the savings to get an aftermarket CPU cooler which would allow you to overclock the CPU. With an overclock, that CPU could easily reach 3500+ performance (2.0 Ghz) or above... I had my 3500+ at 2.34 Ghz before I encountered a heat issue with my box....

I meant in his sig. It says his 3500+ is at 1.85GHz, instead of the stock 2.0.
