XFX GeForce 8400 GS Video Card - 256MB DDR2, PCI Express, Supporting 512MB with TurboCache, DVI, VGA, HDTV, Video Card, Recertified PVT86SYAF at TigerDirect.com

I want to put it in my computer for its dual head capabilities and keep two streams going at the same time, one to my normal desktop and one to my projector where I'll watch movies and such.

I don't game at all. Just want it for media capabilities. I also run linux.

Do you think it will work well?

yes, it will work for your need just dont do any gaming on it and you will be fine.
