hey

Time for a new Rig
yea this is what im aiming for so far.. all the prices are NZD so it diffrent to what you could find in newegg. its close to the best prices avialable in NZ..

Any Ideas on MOBO??
Anything to upgrade/ Downgrade


GeForce 7950 GT 512MB, PCI-Express $359.15
2x 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM $117.11

E6320 usually cost the same as E6300 but it has extra cache memory. Get E6320 if could find it for around the same price.

Where do you shop? Suggestion for a new MOBO would be one with a P35 chip.

Also your hard drive should be SATAII with 16Mb of cache.

And your power supply might look to weak if we don't know the brand and spec for it.

Just my personal opinion, I would rather get the 8800GTS 320MB, they should nearly be around the same price.

I managed to find this hard drive for quite cheap.
I shop at C1shoppingmall C1 SHOPPINGMALL - NZ' LEADING ONLINE SHOP FOR COMPUTER

[WESTERN DIGITAL] CAVIAR SE16 320GB SATA II, 3.5LP, 16MB, 7200RPM $128.95

and ill upgrade
[INTEL] CORE 2 DUO E6300 1.86GHZ
SOCKET LGA775, FSB 1066, 2MB L2 CACHE, RETAIL BOX

to

[INTEL] CORE 2 DUO E6320 1.86GHZ
SOCKET LGA775, FSB 1066, 4MB L2 CACHE, RETAIL BOX

for an extra $10

anything else?

i personally like Xclios and Corsairs PSU's, i heard silverstones are really good too

i personally don't care for 7950gt's because u can easily get a gs, and overclock it, get an 8800gts 320mb, which has ultimate bang for the buck or you can get x1950xt overclock it to xtx speeds (w/o the extra 256mb ram) and u got a 300$ card in ur hands

i skimped on my PSU 600w for £19 seemed like a good deal for a ummm winpower or what ever its called

K is it worth upgrading from a 7950gt to a 8800gts for an extra $150?
