Ok so a neighbor gave me his old PC, and i am NOT familiar with older PC's (AGP). My main gaming rig is a really high performance ATX/PCI build.
Anyways, the specs on this old rig are...

X1950 PRO 512MB AGP
2GB PC2300 DDR RAM
INTEL P4 3.40
Seagate 320GB ATA
550W PSU
Asus P5P-800
when i power it up, everything works but there is no display, im not sure if the HDD is spinning or not tho, its not the videocard because the fan is spinning, the cpu is working also. so i think it could be the harddrive. (maybe i hooked it up wrong?)

I honestly dont know anything about a computer like this.
plz help.

Did it work before the neighbor gave it to you? Did you make sure that in the move nothing got jostled around? You could try booting it from a live CD instead of the HD to determine if it's the HD.

It should still definitely show stuff on the screen if there is no HDD/HDD activity. Its most likely the video card whether the fans spin or not. Give all the connections a good cleaning, the AGP slot, the VGA/DVI slots on both ends everything. If it doesnt work then, grab a cheapo card that works (make sure of this) and substitute it. If it does work, then it was the old video card.
