Motherboard: I need a motherboard. I am not going to overclock or go SLI.

Ram: I need a good 1 GB Kit

Power supply: I need a recommendation for a power supply for this system.

If you're looking for a good stable motherboard that won't give you any problems whatsoever, my recommendation would be the intel P965 series. I think this is hard to beat:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813121048 Just be sure your memory is 1.8 V with timings of 5-5-5-15

Regarding memory timings, the P965 chipset is just very picky about voltage and timings. If it doesn't match perfectly, you're dead in the water: 1.8 V 5-5-5-15 There is a very long list of reviews at Newegg about problems with P965 mobos that don't work with incorrect memory.
