Default Heads Up Display computer

Hello

My name is David and i am new to the forums. I have a question. I am very interested in computers and i have a few projects over christmas i would like to begin and designing and building a mini Heads up display for a helmet is one of them. What i would like to know is what materials i would need to achieve such a piece of hard ware


And i am refering to the film Iron Man's HUD ii have the computer and software ready just need a projection system

If any one hass a suggestion please let me know

Are you reffering to something like this?
Head-Up Display - Facts, Encyclopedia article, and Discussion forum
or a Head mounted display?

Pretty impossible to design and build in a home workshop the best way I can think of would be to use old phone screens and try and copy a commercial design then perfect. HMD's are infamous for burning retinas and being poor quality so make sure you turn the brightness right down so that you don't damage your eyes.

Oh ok well thanks What would be a suitable screen to use ? i have a motorola v3xx but its hard to focus up close which i need it (4 cm from face)
