I wanted to install a 80-Gb HDD as a secondary slave. can i connect it to the slave slot of the CD-drive (which is primary drive on the secondary bus) That is the only slot left on my comp since i already have another hard drive plugged in to the slave slot of the primary bus. I am a rookie and in need of help. anyone have any ideas?

can i remove my floppy disk and connect the hard drive

Yeah just make it the slave on the secondary ide channel (where your cd drive is) Don't forget to set your jumpers

and No you can't hook it to the floppy controller different connector!
