Al3x2009 is on a distinguished road

Default HD2900Pro vs EN9600GT

Well I have a chooise between a
Saphire HD2900Pro (1024mb)
And
Asus EN9600Gt (512mb)
Wich one should is the best for gaming? Or are they both bad?

the hd2900 pro can be flashed to a hd2900XT. but it is extremely loud and hot and is a POWER EATING MONSTER.
i would go for the 9600gt.

thats a toughy.. i think the 2900 pro (with xt bios) falls right inbetween the 9600gt and 8800gtx

but.... it consumes a buttload of power.. and can't run any kind of anti-aliasing without loosing a ton of frames..

so agreed... 9600gt


but if you like to play one of my favorite games (3dmark06) then i'd pick up the 2900

oh if you're looking to sell it, probably the 9600gt because it will have better value. Or the 2900pro/xt might fetch a pretty penny because its out of the market and some people might wanna crossfire it... I'd say they will both fetch about the same.. maybe the 9600gt more so because it's newer and has great sli scaling.
