Either Western Digital or SeaGate; both are very good brands.

hmm, okay, ill keep that in mind when purchasing.

does it matter if i get it from like, best buy, or if i get it off newegg?

Best Buy usually has higher prices than Newegg, even with shipping added on a Newegg order, but the advantage to purchasing at Best Buy is that you can easily return it (with the in-store warranty)

And yes, I agree, WD or Seagate. Nothing beats 'em.

dhMassacre is your existing HD an eide or sata? And I've also had good luck with WD with acception of my 10,000rpm drive failing after 2yrs, replaced it with a 7200 and running smooth ever since.
