Default Graphics Cards

I need to update my graphics card, is it simply a matter of finding an AGP compatible card, or are there other compatability issues that need considering?

Hey mattxq86

First of all, you should tell us the specs of your system. And your budget as well.

Welcome to Tech Forums!

You're mostly on the right track. You just need to tell us what mobo you use.

you'll also need to make sure your PSU supplies enough power for the graphics card

I'd also reccomend upgrading from a motherboard with only AGP and PCI to a motherboard with PCI-E, there are no longer any AGP cards produced, its hard to find them and they have siginificantly worse performance compared to pcie
