I was just curious, what does it mean when your graphics card has 128Mb compared to 256Mb? I'm not sure if that is its RAM for processing each frame in a certain time or what. I was wondering this because I recently bought a NVidia 6800 128Mb as opposed to the 6800 256Mb GT. Does this effect it dramatically?
this isn't easy to answer. i would say in this case no it does not make a massive difference but the difference is still distinct. basically video ram is used to store everything that is being rendered

More memory on a graphics card is more or less like system memory...to a point. The more memory the better....but not as important as the GPU. A 6800GT with 128mb memory is better than a 6600GT with 256mbs.
