Exclamation graphic card/cpu/mobo upgrading (PLZ HELP)

OK i have a gateway that is running low on RAM (256mb left) and im planning on getting a stick of 1GB, but idk the right kind. Im very interested in the upcoming F.E.A.R. and COD2, and Brothers in Arms. My gateway only has a pentium4 2.8, and Im planning on getting the XFX SLi geforce 6800gs (is the xfx 6800gs a good choice of an upgrade?) and my cpu isnt good enough so i need some help on what cpu i should get, if amd then what mobo?

Check around here and you will see that everyone says to stay away from XFX, go with eVGA.

Are you going to OC? It seems you want to game, so get an AMD. How much is your budget?

XFX has a very high failure rate. eVGA may be a bit more expensive, but their cards are better made, therefore having a low failure rate.

ooo i seee. i just found this eVGA on newegg.com.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130258

My gateway is model 310X and supports DDR SDRAM. Also my graphics chipset is intel would i need to upgrade if 6800gs is purchased?

I also found a CPU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103424

Would that be a good choice and what mobo would be good?

If you want a new mobo and proc, you should probably consider building a new comp. The proc is not so good; its Socket 754, which is outdated. If you want to game with AMD, you need to go Socket 939.

I'd say get
MSI K8N Neo4-F
AMD 3200 Skt 939
6800GS

but this could run you about 440$
