Default Got My Rig Done..

So I just put together my low-budget gaming rig. Here is every single component in it:

Professional ATX Case w/ Blue Lighting
4 Rosewill Blue LED Fans, 3 in/1 Out
Gigabyte GA-K8SNC-939 ATX Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 1GHZ FSB
1GB (2x512) PQI Turbo PC3200 DDR400 RAM
AOpen GeForce 6600GT 128MB AGP 8x
80GB Maxtor ATA/133 HD
LITE-ON 52x CD-ROM 16x DVD-ROM IDE
400W Antec PSU

Now I have everything up and running fine. Is there anything I should be checking, or updating before I decide to throw away the boxes? Everything looks good, I have the latest Nvidia drivers.

Sounds good.

Save the boxes for a few weeks anyway... just in case.

Be sure to update the mobo drivers, BIOS (if out of date), check for firmware updates, and download all of the Windows updates.

Guess we'll see you in a month or so...

Change those fans. 3 out/1 in would be better.

i'm with trifid. keep monitoring your temps etc and run a burn-in test to make sure the system is stable

Aside from whatever everyone else has suggested, I would break out some 3DMark and benchmark

Have you installed all your drivers? GPU, chipset and CPU.
