GeForce 8600!

Okay, I was googling some stuff a few minutes ago, and saw this!

the GeForce 8600 is going to be compatible with DirectX 10, and at release will be the cheapest one on the market! a full $100 price drop!

do you need vista for this graphics card?

If i can use xp home edition then i might buy one of these.

Well, to use DX10 features you will need Vista, which the main reason for purchasing one of these is for an economical DX10 solution. You can use XP home edition, but you'll eventually want to use Vista and having a DX10 card will make it all the more worth it.
