Question Gaming Computer

Im new to the whole computer building scene and i'm doing a computer course in college. At the mo i have a crappy little shed of a computer and am looking to build a high performance games computer capable of playing games such as F.E.A.R or Quake 4 with ease. Ive got about £600 to spend on it and i already have a 80gb hard drive. I was wondering could anyone recommend which:

Processor
Motherboard
Graphics Card
Ram

I should get to make the computer capable of playing high spec'd games. If anybody could point me in the right direction on what i should buy id be very grateful lol.

Well, let me point out 1 thing.

Get Nvidia for the graphics card. At least a 6800GT will be within your price range.

FEAR and Quake 4 discrimanate against ATI cards.
