| Gaming Comp for under $500 Want to hook my friend up with a decent comp that can get good fps on CS:S and TF2 on high settings and possibly 2XAA and shadow deatils... by high i mean anywhere from 60-80 fps. If not possible then we can go lower on specs and fps untill it is possible.
Please hook me up with links to parts and suggestions. I was thinking of getting him a cheaper last gen evga GPU for possible future upgrade via step-up program.
$500-under budget

| Re: Gaming Comp for under $500 Well for the case you have 2 options:
1. buy the case and psu seperately
2. but the case with a psu already.
Since you're on a tight budget i suggest number 2. Here's a nice looking solid case that's on sale for $39.99 after rebates, and it has a nice 500watt psu with 22A on the +12V rail. Newegg.com - SIGMA La Vie LBYWBP Leather Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Retail

| Re: Gaming Comp for under $500 I can give you my stuff.
Amd athlon 64 x2 4200+
asus m2n4 sli mobo
antec 400 watt power supply
cd drive
2gb ocz special ops ddr2
evga geforce 7600gt co
epson stylus cx4800 all in one printer
I will sell all of that for $500.00. You just need a computer case and a hard drive.
Also that stuff gets 130+ FPS on CS:S. |
