Default Games with FX5500

I am buying and installing a new video card for a friend...

His Specs:

CPU: Intel Celeron 2.6 Ghz, 100 Mhz Fsb, 26 Multi, Skt 478
RAM: 256 Mb Ram (Not sure of frequency and Pc)
GRAPHICS: Ati Radeon 7500, 64 Mb, AGP
MOBO: Asus P4V533-MX

Not sure of PSU...

Well he has $100 and he wants to buy a Xpertvision GF FX5500

256 Mb
DDR
128 Bit Memory
AGP 8x

His board only supports AGP 4x... Will it still work...

How will that card and CPU work together... He wants to play games such as Call of duty 2, Bf2 etc. Thanks

I don't think it would be significant or noticable, but it does help adding more ram and a better graphics card.

I have MSI 6600, and I agree that it is not that good, but it doesn't play all games on lowest. It depends on which game.

I play HL2: episode1 on 1024x768 with 2x FSAA, 4X AF and HDR and all the setting is maxed, and it runs very smooth with no LAGGS.

I play also prey on high setting, and it doesn't lag at all.

I just have problems with FEAR and oblivion, I play them on medium setting, and they lag when there is a lot of enemies.
