Are these things ok? I am using this mainly for games, and internet surfing. I have a $900 budget so in case you want to suggest something better. My friend told me that this is a pretty good setup but I thought i wanted to ask the pros first.

If you are gaming go wiht AMD. don;t get an intel dual core. Get a socket 939 rig. As for the videocard get a 6800GS. That 6800Xtreme isn't good. I like the ram. As for the hard drive get a seagate or western digital. Those are the top brands. Maxtor's aren't too good. If $900 is your budget get this processor.

First of all:
1.AMD does use pci express. Most of their socket 939 motherboards have pci express. Only a couple socket 939 mobos have agp.

2.AMD is way better than intel. When you are talking gaming performance yes AMD is that much better.

If you go around this forum and ask people if they use AMD or Intel I bet you will see that 80% use AMD and like 20% use Intel. That is just in this forum though because most of the people here build gaming computers and gaming just goes with AMD.
