Default first build help

new build help

hi I am trying to build a computer its my first time. Its going to be used for media and gaming, not hard core gaming but i want to be able to play newer games on high levels like fear. Here is what i have so far any suggestions would help, also i dont know what else i would need to complete the build and get it up and running. I dont need a monitor or keyboard or mouse.

i dont know what a good mobo is or a good optical drive or a cheap but good sound card. I am really trying to stay under $1000.

sorry i posted this somewhere else i thought it would work just copying and pasting. I picked out a mobo, is it a good one or not. I still dont know what optical drive to get though. Does this look like a good system.

Well on the HD I would get a Segate, they crash less. And I am in a computer class and that Aspire case is small, the front pannel wires are very tight and that temp thing for the processor doent reach to the cpu, we had to put it on the HD.

MoBo link still not looking good, its a search result instead of just one item
I believe you need DDR2 memory if you are going with core 2 duo

you could use lower than ddr2 800
but has to be DDR2 at least

will that mobo let me use dual cards later down the line if i want to. Any other suggestions on other parts.

when u said dual card, I assume you mean Video cards?
