Very, very nice. My question is, what power supply have you settled on?

I would just get one 7800GTX, save some money, SL! is garbage, you don't need it. Also the motherboard, if you do indeed go with SLI get a good one like the DFI lanparty or a different brand, unless you aren't overclocking.

Yes SLI is truly garbage. The best card out there for the money is the 7800GT. It only performs 5-10fps lower than the 7800GTX but is $150 cheaper!! If you don't believe me on the SLI thing, check this out. http://tech-forums.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79791

Well if he has the money, a 512mb GTX would be awesome. What you shouldn't get is a 256GTX. Here's the stages i recommend when buying an nvidia card, nothing in between. These give you the best performance and value nvidia has to offer. 6600GT, 6800GS, 7800GT, 7800GTX 512mb. Anything in between those cards probably doesn't have a good price/performance ratio.

i dont think money is a set-back here (no offense) but just because its a 512MB card it dosent mean your getting the most bang for your buck. Really look into the specs of a 512 card, make sure you check the price difference for the spec difference. Good luck with your new puter
