Default Fast HDD

Hey all,

Planning on getting a fast Hard drive at 10,000 RPM its a western digital one at ATA, thhing is mother boards are saying they support SATA-2 so does that mean it wont work with my HDD?

the Raptor which you are no doubt thinking of is actually SATA and yes it is compatable with any board that has SATA or SATA2

Remember SATAII is backwards compatible with SATAI.

Cache is another thing to consider with harddrives, if you want a faster HD sometimes its better to look for the 16MB Cache ones instead of the Higher RPM ones.
