Default excellent temps on ancient computer....

OK, this is weird...my friend has an P3 800mhz computer with 512mb ram, and an abysmal 64mb graphic card...yet on everest his cpu is reporting 50-60s F idle. My comp on my sig, idles at around 85-90F. I have one 140mm, two 120mm fans. My friend's ancient comp has no liquid cooling and no extra fans, just his HSF and PSU fans. Both of us are using everest. Whats going on here?

Simple. Your friend's computer doesn't run as hot. The 800mhz processor, 512mb ram, and 64mb graphics card don't need as much power to run them as your system needs. More power = more heat.

My computer runs at 20 degrees celcius/68 degrees fahrenheit at idle.

But 10-20 degrees celcius in unheard of! Must be super good cooling, and well taken care-of.

Looking at your sig, your comp doesn't need much cooling too.
