I would get the samsung personally. I have always had goodluck with their optical drives.

yea they are all three going to perform the exact same so go with the one thats most reliable.

well with the samsung, A LOT off ppl had trouble when they used the lightscribe options, they said the burner got f'd up after using that option alot.

well ill get the samsung and hope my gf doesn tuse it.

i have pretty much the same thing but an LG with lightscribe. I love lightscribe, its easy to use and i have never had a problem with LG, see if you can find that one.

In terms of quality:
Plextor and Optorite Branded drives are pretty much tied as most Optorites are rebranded plextors. But they are far out of most people's price range. And Optorite drives are really hard to find anyways.
Then, Samsung and LG
Then pretty much every other brand tied down here...
