Default do these cards work in my computer

my graphics card is shot and i need a new 1

all i know is i want:
Nvidia
256 mb
$200-$300

i have a dell dimension xps gen2
p4 3.2 ghz
2g ram

the card that my computer burned up is an ATI radeon 9800 XT


will all of these cards work in my machine?

i forgot to add that basically i dont know the difference between pixel pipelines, memory type, memory interface, and i dont know what a good manufacturer is

yeah it should, if you could find out how many Watts your PSU is that would also be helpful.

the dell tech support person i am chatting with said i shouldnt buy GDDR3 cards because they wont work on my machine but im not sure how much she knows

This card will not work as it is GDDR3.
You can look for a Video card, with a Rendering Pipelines of 8 Memory Interface - 256 bit, Pixel Fillrate (Gpixels/sec) between 2.6 - 3.3 Memory Clock (MHz) between 580 - 700 .

that is what the dell tech support person said about the card that you posted

do you think you can help me find the best card for my money that will work on my system i posted my system specs website above

Dell support = STUPID. Dell's tech reps only know what their flibooks tell them

If the card is AGP, it will work. You may have to update your motherboard's chipset drivers (which I doubt), but that's all.
