Talking Christmas Upgrades to be thought for

So... i just recently decided that all of my Christmas gifts from my parents and for my b-day this year are going to be upgrades for my computer. I am currently running the following:

AMD Athlon 2700+
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe Specifications
2x 512 DDR 333
PowerColor Radeon 9600 Pro

So i'm looking to upgrade most of this.....specifically the mobo, the cpu, and the video card first. I have about $500-$600 to spend.

Please post suggestions/links to products that you think should put together. And PLEASE! post a whole set (mobo, vid card, and cpu).

mobo- the one you have now is socket A so you definately want to upgrade
i reccomend this-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136015

RAM( you will have to upgrade if you get a new mobo)-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145566

CPU-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103747

vid card-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130056

that will last you for a good while and is future proof in upgradability.

total is - 589$

but.....i hope you are planning on getting another PSU....because you will need atleast 500 watts to power all of this. whta PSU do you have?

AMD Opteron 1210 AM2 - 172.00

ABIT KN9 mobo - 75.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127010
pqi 2GB DDR2 - 190.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820141224
eVGA 7600GS - 106.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130020
Antec smartpower 500W - 75.00
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103937

I know it's a little more than 600.00 but it's 618 without shipping... but that gives you the core system plus the power to handle it.

it's ok, but you will want something along the lines of 20+ amps on the 12V side... it would work for now, but it might not be too stable with all the new parts. The Antec has dual +12V rails whixh can distribute the power as needed... (just a thought)

this upgrade is really about getting my computer up to speed since i haven't upgraded it really well for a while (2yr). I just started playing Phantasy Star Universe and right now i am getting about 25 fps at a low video setting. AND I HATE IT! so i guess keep that in mind.

ALSO: i am very in love with ATI cards so if you aren't completely against them and you have a suggestion for them say about a x1200 or x1600 that would be awesome!
