robina_80 Ultra Techie Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: LONDON Posts: 785	cant install windows ive got a serious issue with my PIII computer, ive just bought a new 500gb PATA HD for it and im trying to load windows 2000/XP on it but i cant, I boot from cd to start installing windows format the disk etc etc and then it says your computer is restarting in 15 sec time so it restarts but this is the problem instead of continuing where it left of it wants to boot from cd again and for the life of me i cant figure it out. it still needs to boot from the CD after it formats your HDD. do you let it continue after the reboot?
