| can anyone help me pick a new processor ok I have decided to wait on getting a new mobo until i really need it. So I want to get a new processor I really have no idea what to get, right now I have a socket 939 3500+ and its fine but I do alot of multitaking when I am playing games like playing my music and chatting on the net with people and when I am doing that I get lag. So I was thinking that a dual core would help me out with this problem what would be a good processor to look at getting? I have socket 939 and about $140, a little lower would be nice but thats fine if its $140 but I can't go over that thanks for your help

| Just sell your 3500 and pop in a 3800X2. That will definetly help with multi-tasking. |

either opteron would probably keep your rig going pretty strong for another year plus.
good luck!
