Building new pc, some questions

Hey

so my dad has decided to upgrade his pc (mobo, cpu ram) I was wondering wether ABIT are a realiable motherboard company.

Also please could you reccommend a ultra cheap gfx card, just to be able to support windows media center not for gaming

I have an ABit motherboard, the AW9D-Max. I've had it only for about a week now, but it runs like a dream, OCing isn't difficult at all, and I love it.
