well, if you arent going to be gaming, then go for higher cpu and lower video card. If you are going to game, then balance video card and cpu out. Then get 2 gigs of just about any type of ram (if you dont plan to OC), get a mobo with sata ports and get a few WD raptors to fill that criteria. Dont forget to not go cheap on a PSU. If you get a psu/case combo, throw the psu out the window as soon as you open the case. And if you dont know anything, make sure your video card is pci express
also, if you dont plan to game, or at least hardly ever, just get a dual-core intel. If you do plan to game a bit, stick with a dual-core amd.
