Ok this is what I have so far for a new computer.

Are these parts compatible, and I need help woth all the rest of the parts such as a case to fit everything in, fans, and other things. I know you may be thinking that i'm too inexperienced to buidl a computer, but I do not want to spend extra money by buying a computer. And I'm not planning on buying this until teh end of the summer, and I know there will be new parts out but it is still a good computer. Help would be greatly appreciated and I would like to keep the prices of this computer $1300 or less.

If i was you i would wait until the end of summer when you know the money all saved up and know much you want to spend on the parts.

Try to learn as much as you can before you go and build a computer (its not hard but do it anyways you well be happy you did).

Yes, all of those components will work together. I am just wondering why you matched that video card with the value ram?

Moving on... you can get any case... it's all personal prefernce. The ONLY thing that you need to MAKE SURE of is that the case you buy is for ATX motherboards... (MOST are..). With fans, that will be something that you should look at AFTER you deciede on a case, as different cases can use different size fans. You will want to look for high CFM (cubic feet per minute) airflow fans with low DB noise.

I have told someone this before, it might have even been you idk.
Buying a case is NOT PERSONAL PREFERENCE!!!!

When buying a case:

~Look for the case material. different materials disipate heat different than others.

~look for form factor (ATX, mATX ext.)

~Look for size. some people want full towers. Full towers are pretty big but have overall good airflow and room inside the comp where as mid towers have good enough size but a little decreased airflow.

~Make sure the case has enough fans and room for all your optical drives and hdd's.

~PSU's also have to fit in these so make so you have the right size psu as well



cases are not personal preference.

eVGA is a much better brand than saphire IMHO.

Mobo-
Are you going to be SLI'ing? if not, DO NOT get a sli board.. its a waste of money if you buy a sli board and dont sli.. and since you do not have two video cards listed, i doubt you will be sling so toss out that mobo for a nonsli one unless you plan on buying another video card in the future.

only a few bucks more and since the sum of everything else minus a case was around a grand you can afford the extra thirty bucks plus a nice case to boot. Another reason i changed the hdd was because of the interface, SATA is faster and sleeker than IDE

Well, I'm figuring I can only get like $500 by the end of the summer because i have to put hal the money i make from my paychecks in the bank. But i want to know the parts now so I have a goal to set to.. and even i would only have $500 to spend I can pay like 40 or 50 dollars a month for the computer...

Will these parts still be pretty good in teh comp. world by the end of the summer?, and what do you mean when you say why did i pick the OCZ ra mand radeon card?

I agree with the eVGA 7900GT. It is a very powerfull card, and its price has been going down significantly lately.

You could look into some better ram, but it is up to you.

If you are not going SLI, you can save a few $ on the motherboard, and spend it on better ram.

Also, next time you ask for help on a build, its easier to simply post the product names like - eVGA 7900GT rather than posting a link that gives us no information about it. Most of us here will know what the product is, and it makes life easier for us.

So ur saying I should go with a 7900GT and 2 gigs of ram. And do u guys prefer Corsair or Kingston over OCZ or is the OCZ fine?

yo, save ur money till summer, new technology will come out, and u will no the prices and if u cant afford the NEWEST technology, the parts that are new today will drop in price quite a bit, its a win win situation.
