Building first comp

Hi, i'm new here

So, I have been wanting to get a new comp for sometime now and after doing some homework i found out how much I could save if I builded the comp myself. I'm not a comp guru, but I have read some guides and played around with my old comp and I know the basics. Anyways I have all of this parts so far, was wondering what you guys think, I'm open for suggestions.

So I need you guys to direct me to a decent PSU, case and most likely a better sound card as the mobo's build in is probably crapy.
Also I let me know if I should change any of the components I posted above. My budget is under $1300, I don't need mouse/keyboard/monitor.

I would go for the X2 4400+ or X2 3800+ with overclocking. For the video card, I would go for the 7600GT instead of the GS. And after taht everything looks pretty good.

For the price of that case, I would go with the Thermaltake Soprano or Thermaltake Tsunami.

Creative X-FI If you have ~100 dollars to spend on a soundcard, or like an Audigy 2zs.

Hmm why take the 4400 when the 4600 cost just about the same and is a bit faster o.O.
About the video card, I was told the same in other forum, Does GT performs better than GS?
I think I will just use the build in sound card and upgrade it later on with a X-FI.
One more thing, will I need more cooling? Wont all this goodies overheat in that cheap case lol.

Ummm well you could get that but you would be kicking yourself later on saying" Should of got a core 2" lol. Even the cheapest core 2 can out do the Amd 64 FX60 when overclocked. Here is a system that will last you.

It's funny how much those prices of 2GB's PC3200 went up, I mean I bought mines for 150 lol.

. Anyways looks good, but your CPU link is broken, out of stock with the 4400's possibly.

Also depends on what you want to do with your computer, if you want to play all games on the highest settings then you might need to change a few things around. If you are a light gamer and just need this for interent/music/downloading, then it will be fine for the next few years.

I want the comp for gaming,chating and occasional school research paper. I don't need to play all games in the best settings, I don't mind, just need the comp to run the game without much lag. I want to be able to run Dark messiah, wow, anno 1703 Ad, EU 3, the occasional first person shooting game, ect...
