Default build cheap computer, need help plz

Hey everyone I'm new and would appreciate it if any of you can help me with a few questions.

I'm currently using a HP Compaq dc5000 Small Form Factor PC, yea I know old lol but I'm tired of this antique and want to upgrade to something little better. So I would like to know if I can buy a new "cheap" motherboard and graphics card can I use parts in this computer to put in the new one? I know i can put the hard drive, dvd drive etc. but what about the processor and things like that because I have never built a computer before and need some help. I have 759 ram but its ddr so I will need a motherboard that supports it or it will go to waste.

I have a $300.00 budget to work with, Thanks

That comes to around $380, and thats your whole setup including new ram because its not worth it to stick with DDR1. There are also rebates included in that in which you would be getting to the low $3xx mark.

I don't know the dimensions of your case, I can't say that everything will fit

and as stalin pointed out, power supply is crappy.

I still believe that my build is superior, considering that you get over $50 of rebates as well which would bring it to around $300. I know your about to say dont depend on rebates but still. If i swapped the video card for the one you stated then surely it would be under $300.

the one zedman suggested:
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Elite RC-330-KKR1 Black SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 350W Power Supply - Computer Cases

is decent, it comes with a nice cm psu also.
