| I am working on a new build for my friend. It will be used for moderate gaming and school work. Here is the Configuration i have so far -GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards -Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 65W Dual-Core Processor Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors -EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards -Segate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0 Hard Drive Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives -Antec Three Hundred Black ATX Mid Tower Computer CAse Newegg.com - Antec Three Hundred Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases -Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2X1GB) 240 Pin DDR2 1066 Newegg.com - Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory -Then of course Windows XP home if i can still get it I originally had the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Mobo Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards but it got deactivated on newegg while i was shopping is the replacement i have a good replacement or should i look for a different mobo, should i try to find it somewhere else? i am also having problems decideing on a power supply because the original one i had a rosewill was being reported as not working with my previous mobo however with the new one it might work better. All comments and suggestions appreciated.

| that looks like a great deal however that is PCI E 2.0 x16 and my motherboard doesnt support PCI E 2.0 or does that not matter?

| ok thanks alot for that recommendation it looks like a really good deal, any other recomendations on for the psu and mobo? rite now im looking at this asus one Newegg.com - ASUS P5K PRO LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

| yea, but that use's DDR2 1200, and that is very expensive, is it possible i can use DDR2 1066 instead to try to save money?

| You can still use DDR2 1066 on it (same with DDR2 800)

| ok thank you, will i have to change anything in the BIOS for 1066 to work with it?
