Default Backup

I want to make a complete copy of all my files and the like on to an external hard dirve. It is a refurbished vaio 60 gb one it connects through a usb 2.0 connection. using a program such as norton ghost could i make a restore point on a external hard drive?

u can sure as **** try. well what you should do is backup ur files, documents, music, stuff like that. but if ur OS gets screwed up, just use the Recovery point already stored on system recovery, and copy back ur importnat files.
