what do u mean by online games.. because your average Pentium 3 can do that with ease... unless you mean multiplayer games like CS:S or WoW or Halo

those are included with regular online games.. but Maplestory is more my cup of tea  i just thought of that Date Rape Music Video on Youtube
EDIT if you wanna see it YouTube - MapleStory MMV ate Rape there it was... but the Maplestory characters are too cute.. make em less anime like!!! | |

^ ya... thats why i play with my gf
but like said.. u don't need more than a Pentium 4 or so to play those kind of games.... so get these:
Pentium 4 Cedar Mill w/ Stock Intel Cooler
Gigabyte p35-ds3r
Crucial Ballistix RAM
7600gt
