Default ASUS WiFi-AP Solo feature query

In the manual of P5V-VM SE DH (http://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/..._p5vd2-vm.pdf), I found one feature called ASUS WiFi-AP Solo. ASUS said PC built with this motherboard plus the accessories enabled the PC to function as a wireless client or wireless access point. Did anyone had experience using this feature ? How it compares with third party wireless LAN card or wireless access router like Linksys & Belkin ?

Default Re: ASUS WiFi-AP Solo feature query

I'm currently using the ASUS wifi with my p5k deluxe board. It seemed to work very well with regular internet usage, and it added a lot of convenience because it saved my a pci port. I do not use this anymore though because I noticed while I was gaming online I would get lag spikes every now and then. I switched it out for my wmp54gs linksys card and these problems went away. If you won't be gaming online with this I would definitely use it, but if you are try it out and if you notice these problems -- it's the onboard wifi.
