Default Asus P5B board. CPU upgrade

Hi!

Title says it all. Actually running a E6300 dual core (1.83mhz) that was bought 2 years ago. I feel like buying a new CPU without changing anything else.

What should I get in the 200-300 price range? Does this board support quad? Or the 1333mhz FSB cpu?

thanks!

yes you can upgrade to a 45nm quad. q9550 would be a good choice in that price range.

yayer gotta love em. the 9550 is about 320 though, a little above what you want to spend.
