Default AMd cool and quiet

I installed a AMd 3200 venice 2 ghz with ABit UL8, this thing is louder than my old Pent4 system. I am hoping it is just the fan making all the noise.

In bios I think it is set to auto.
Checked to see if i had anything lose that could be causing all the noise. So much for quiet, cool it is. Can the fan be changed out?
Is there a heatsink and fan you can buy that is AMD certified other than the one sent with CPu?
Any ideas?

there is no other certified HSF from AMD. warranty does not cover use of any HSF other than that provided, there is a list of covered thermal compounds you could use in place of the thermal pad that was already on the HSF. should keep the temps down low enough to keep the fan from making a lot of noise. you can try adjusting the fan spin-up temps in BIOS but if you're not so sure what you are doing you will have to be very careful

After letting the system run all day Friday, the noise is gone.
Very quiet now. Today it is wonderful. Here a little fan noise but nothing to bad.
