Default AMD 4000+ ClawHammer Soc939 versus AMD 3200+ Venice Soc939

I have these two cpu's which one should I go with and why? I'm not planning to overclock. I know the clawhammer is older, It has 0.13 micron production process and uses SSE2. Venice is built on 0.09 micron production process and uses SSE3 instructions. Better to OC and runs cooler. But which one has a better performance rating?

Clawhammer is by far higher peformance, as it's rating is much higher.

However the Venice will be nicer on your electrical bill.

Thanks for your reply DJ-CHRIS. What is the difference between SSE2 and SSE3 instructions?

G'day after trying to read up on SSE. I've got another question. What is it?
