Default Advice on a graphic card update

'm thinking on buying a new graphic card (I like the BFG 3DFuzion GeForce 7300 GS 256MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card) but I'm not sure if it will fit on my motherboard.
my actual graphic card is a Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller [Display adapter] <- which kinda sucks.

So, heres my information:
System Mode:
Dell Computer Corporation Dimension 3000
System Service Tag: H9V4V71 (support for this PC)
Chassis Serial Number: H9V4V71
Enclosure Type: Mini-Tower

Processor
2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
16 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Main Circuit Board
Board: Dell Computer Corp. 0R8060
Serial Number: ..CN481115180DR5.
Bus Clock: 533 megahertz
BIOS: Dell Computer Corporation A02 11/08/2004

Memory Modules
510 Megabytes Installed Memory

Slot 'DIMM_1' has 256 MB
Slot 'DIMM_2' has 256 MB

c: (NTFS on drive 0) 80.00 GB 34.97 GB free

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. =)

Unfortunately, your computer only has three PCI slots, no PCI-E. It also has a 250W PSU (it can be important to know that as some GFX cards require a minimum wattage).

The best PCI card out there is the X1300, of which there are several brands, starting at $110.

For cards more in your range (closer to the price of the 7300):

So, would you recommend me to buy the X1300? Btw, that one runs games like Age of Empires 3? cuz it doesnt run on my actual graphic card, that was the main reason for trying to buy a new one.

Thanks =)

It should run it. Probably not on high, though.

PCI can only go so far.

DIAMOND X1300PCI256SB Radeon X1300
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103016
$109.99 ($84.99 after $25.00 Mail-In Rebate)

As for replacing your motherboard, I only found one microATX socket 478 board with PCI-E on NewEgg... it wasn't cheap, and it had lousy reviews.

The Diamond X1300 calls for a 300W PSU, but it should work with your 250W since a Dell has the bare minimum in it.

Your next move would be to move to a totally different system. When you're ready, we'll be here to help you through it. Whether you build your own (preferable) or buy a pre-built (you do what you have to do), we'll talk you through it.

I think the 483 is a typo.

Yes, it will fit. Your motherboard only has PCI slots, and this is a PCI card.
