According to Tom's Hardware Interactive VGA Chart the two cards are almost identical depending on exactly which clock/memory speed versions you are referring to.

Of course, if you already bought it .. never mind.

The 7900GT is usually a lot cheaper than the 7800GTX. Makes me wish I had waited a little.

The 7900GT is a tiny bit faster than a 7800GTX with 20 more mhz on the core. Still 7900GT is cheaper and just better.

i have the leadtek 7950GT and i love the card...i play all the games on the highest graphics
