Hey guys i was wondering if a 6800GS will max out BF2 on 1280x1024. Right now i have an X700 Pro and i play the game on medium. Thanks for the help.

Not sure but i know they can be overclocked to s***, better than 6800 ultra's so most likely if its overclocked.

I have that card and i play bf2 at that res. I still havent bothered turning lighting and shadows on, cause they dont make a big diff with graghics, I believe, but kill performance. Everything else is max (4x aa) (texture filtering high)....and i also use vsync which maxes me at 60 fps...I probably average like 40-50, but without vsync would be higher. Great card, but no 7800gt...however if your with a budget go for it and it'll pawn that 700. I also upgraded from a 6600gt, and the main difference is double the fps.

yes it will play it at that resolution for sure
