Default Which 6800

I have seen several versions of the nvidia 6800. There is the 6800, 6800 gt, 6800 gs, 6800xt. I have noticed the xt runs quite a bit lower in price compared to the gt and gs, is it that much worse or is a good price for the card. also who is a good brand to buy from, xtx, evga, gigabit etc? Thanks

I highly reccomend the gainward bliss 6800GS 512mb Goes Like ****. It is an extremely solid and extremely powerful card, running all my games perfectly on max settings, (HL2, NFS:MW and so on). Any more info just ask.

Its awesome.

the 7 series has a revised architecture and does a lot more in fewer clock cyclesi would go for a 7600GT over a 6800GT might seem obvious but the 7600GT is often cheaper than the 6800GT

i would go with a 6800gs if you can find one from EVGA

or a 6800gt from EVGA or ASUS

but if you have the money to spend then go with a 7600GT :0

I'll soon be installing a 7600GT AND I was wondering, how do I disable onboard video?

In reply to the original poster: I'd leave the 6800 series and buy a 7600GT/7900GT instead.

Check out your BIOS on startup, there should be an option there.

So which is the better card, 6800 gs/gt or a 7600 gt. The 7800/7900 is way out of my budget. BTW The games I play are AOE 3, NFSMW, NFSU2, C&C Generals ect. I don't play Stuff like HL2, Call of Duty, Doom3. Will the 6800 series still be good enough.
