| As the title states, I'm wondering if I should grab the 6600 256mb or the 6600 GT 128mb version. Price-wise, it seems the GT would be better, but memory-wise I'm not sure as to whether there's a big performance difference. Looking at: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/gra...s-pcie-07.html would say the 6600 GT, but those charts don't show the 256mb version of the 6600 and I'm seeking a second opinion. Ty- ------ I'd like to note I'm referring to the PCIe versions. |

| Super Techie | Yea good call RxLife, considering the 6800 GT wasnt an option. The 6600GT would probably be faster. One must learn that memory size for video cards does not mean jack SHlT if your card cant really fully utilize it. Just because they slap extra memory in doesn't mean it's going to be any better than it would be w/o that memory, it's pretty much just marketing to attact n00bs and people with cash to blow, no offense. I, as most of us, was once there myself.

| FDISK Certified Tech | 6600GT is where you should go. The next step up from there would be a 6800GT.
